This kiosk has videos explaining the news helicopter and satellite that hang inthe atrium of the Newseum. The kiosk creates a simple interface that points these objects out and allows users to view the videos.

Newseum – Great Books

The Great Books exhibit displays select scans from the books that will be on display. This interactive allows visitors to virtually flip the pages of these key works. More information is available on the Newseum Web site.

Newseum – First Amendment Gallery

The First Amendment Gallery features three applications in one: a timeline of major moments affecting the rights of the First Amendment, current news stories from the First Amendment Center, and a game where you must preserve your First Amendment Rights. Newseum – Ecard

This is a screen shot of the E-card that visitors can send to their friends from the floors of the Newseum. Using a drag and drop interface, they can add a scene from the Newseum as well as different artifacts or characters from the Newseum then add their message and send it on out. In addition, visitors can also comment on the Newseum.

Below are also screen shots of an E-card from the Journalists Memorial. This kiosk also allows users to comment on the Journalists Memorial.

This is a screen shot of the video interface that allows visitors to view different digital news stories that have affected news history. This is the “attract” screen that shifts through short clips of these videos and then plays the full video upon selection. The interior page is below.
